ACI Marina Opatija is found in the small town of Ičići on the outskirts of Opatija. With Mt. Učka, the highest mountain in Istria, as a backdrop it is an excellent anchorage for yachts, especially mega yachts. Charming Opatija is one of the oldest European tourist resorts and the coast to the north and south of Opatija is rugged and picturesque, and contains several smaller winter resorts. Sailing along the Istrian coastline and in Kvarner Bay and around the Kvarner islands: Cres, Losinj and Krk, is possible from here.
ACI Marina Opatija flies the Blue Flag awarded to beaches, marinas, for eco-friendly sustainable practices. Opatija’s mild climate and the excellent sailing conditions make it an ideal spot for sailing the northern islands.
Approach is quite easy. The marina’s breakwater is visible from the sea. Entrance to the marina is from the northeast and the depth at the entrance is 7m.
Facilities
ACI Marina Opatija has 283 sea berths all supplied with power and water. Mega yachts up to 40m can be accommodated here. There are also 35 dry berths, a slipway, a 15T crane and a maintenance and repair services.
In addition the marina has a reception with a currency exchange office and an ACI shop. There is also an ATM, a restaurant and a bar, a nautical equipment store, clothes shop and fishing gear shop. There is a newly refurbished toilet and shower block with disabled access and a launderette. On site is a car park and there is a fuel station in Opatija Harbour – about 2 nautical miles away.
