Kalamata Marina

Kalamata Marina is a charming and well organised marina in Kalamata town, Peloponnese in southwestern Greece. The marina is located on the western side of Kalamata Harbour in the marvelous Messinian Gulf.  Overlooked by the Taigetus Mountains, Kalamata Marina is situated right next to the city centre and the main harbour, so guests of the marina are able to enjoy the historical and lively city of Kalamata. Kalamata offers a vibrant night life and beautiful Blue Flag beaches.

From here good sailing and a delightful coastline are accessible and it is a great base to explore this region. This corner of the Peloponnese has many attractions and is steeped in history. From Kalamata marina you can easily sail to both the Ionian and the Aegean Seas and explore the Messinian Gulf. The islands of Elafonisos, famous for its turquoise waters, and Kithira are also an easy sail away.

Kalamata is a modern marina and a peaceful place to overnight or pick up a charter boat from. The marina operates all year round and has friendly staff on hand to assist with docking and any other request.

Facilities

Kalamata Marina has 250 sea berths for yachts with a maximum length of 25 meters and a 3-meter draught. There are both permanent and floating pontoons. All berths are supplied with water and power.

There are 150 dry dock berths for winter berthing. On site is a 60T travel lift. The marina, cooperates with outsourced technicians and offers a full range of technical services covering a wide range of maintenance and repair work. There are also diver services, a slipway, luggage and equipment storage, customs and a Port Police office.

Other facilities and services offered are showers and restrooms, a chandlery shop, a bar/restaurant, Wi-Fi and telephone services, a laundry service, a supermarket, car rental, parking and a fuel station.  Along the quayside are numerous taverns, restaurants, cafés and bars.

In terms of waste management, rubbish bins and recycling bins are provided and there is a dedicated station for the disposal of used oil.
