Yacht Model Overview
Bavaria Yachts’ Bavaria 40 Cruiser is a dependable charter sailing yacht built for real cruising comfort. This model was produced for the charter market in the years 2008 to 2010, and it carries the practical balance of performance, ease of handling, and a layout that works well with mixed crew sizes. On a calm morning, you feel it immediately: steady motion, predictable trim, and a cockpit made for active sailing.
The Bavaria 40 Cruiser is offered in a version with three cabins for up to six berths in cabins, plus two water closets. For larger groups, the same cruiser platform can be configured with three cabins for six berths in cabins and additional berths, again with two water closets. Some charter setups add two more berths beyond the cabin six, keeping privacy and function on board.
Under sail, this yacht is designed for day passages and longer coastal routes. It is a sailing yacht charter option that suits first-time skippers as well as experienced hands who enjoy trim, sail balance, and efficient maneuvers. The hull and rig are tuned for confidence, and the interior remains comfortable when wind and sea conditions change. You can plan a sunset anchorage, and the next day keep moving—without feeling cramped.
For charter budgeting, weekly rates typically fall between 1,540 and 2,681.11 EUR, with an average around 1,911 EUR depending on season and itinerary. It is popular for sailing yacht charter across four countries, which says a lot about its versatility and consistent demand.
If you want a yacht that feels “ready” the moment you take the lines—this Bavaria 40 Cruiser is one of the most sensible choices in the 40-foot class. Book early for the best departure days!
