Yacht Model Overview
We have advised many couples and families on choosing the right motor yacht for bareboat and crewed holidays, and the Fountaine Pajot MY5 is one of those models that keeps coming back in our conversations. From our experience, this yacht fits guests who want comfort, easy living aboard, and a confident feel underway. Actually, the MY5 is built by Fountaine Pajot, and it is designed specifically for charter use.
The manufacturer’s concept for the MY5 focuses on a modern, practical layout and smooth onboard flow, which is exactly what our guests appreciate when they plan day-to-day cruising. We observed that the 2022 to 2025 charter builds are especially in demand, because they combine recent-spec finishes with a layout that works well for group dynamics. Based on our knowledge, the MY5 is offered in two common charter configurations.
In the version with 3 cabins, the yacht accommodates 6 guests in the cabins, plus 2 heads. We state with certainty that this setup is ideal for smaller parties who still want generous privacy. For larger groups, the 4-cabin version provides 6 berths in the cabins and adds an extra berth, bringing the total to 7 berths, with 4 heads onboard. Guests who have trusted us with the bigger layout often tell us the same thing: “We never felt cramped!”
For pricing, our records for weekly charter budgets place the MY5 in the range of €7,811.68 to €10,566.12, with an average around €8,664. From our experience, those figures hold well depending on season, itinerary, and whether you choose the more spacious head count.
We have seen this model shine for motor yacht charters in the Bahamas and Croatia. Our recommendation? If you’re aiming for a relaxed pace with reliable comfort, the MY5 is a smart match. Book early—peak weeks fill fast!
