Dubravko Pavlin Linssen 40.9

Show original “ Dear Mrs. Marijana; I am contacting you with feedback regarding our sailing on Linsen on September 40. The boat was very good for our needs, because speed was less important to us than comfort. The upper deck + saloon is a great combination and the cabins were comfortable. The boat is well maintained for its age, comfortable and safe, low fuel consumption. The steel construction of the boat ensures minimal rocking in the marina or anchorage. The kitchen is adequately equipped. Most of the systems functioned well, and the Internet VIP hot spot worked most of the time even on the open side of the island. A minor problem was that the indicator (gauge) that shows the level of waste liquid in the toilet tank did not work, so we had to empty the tank every day (to keep it at a safe level), which required a little more effort because there is a manual valve installed in the lines ( valve) to which it must be lowered into the engine housing and must be opened/closed every time it is emptied. Three major problems with the ship (which can be easily removed): the anchor is inadequate for the weight and inertia of the steel ship. With a moderate mistral, my anchor plowed on the sandy bottom, it was safer on the rocky one. I'm not sure that the chain is really 50 meters long, because it quickly reaches the end - that needs to be checked. I would recommend a thicker chain for that weight of the boat, because the weight of the laid chain is the main factor that ensures the stability of the boat (more important than the anchor itself). The engine quickly overheats above 2200 RMP, which is unacceptable. The skipper/instructor at Zenta warned us not to go over 2200 RPM, and thus we prevented the motor from overheating (And potentially an earlier rest break), but the motor must be serviced AND repaired AND must not overheat AT ANY NUMBER OF REVOLUTIONS. The water drainage from the showers almost does not work at all - the pump does not extract water even after 10 minutes of trying. So we were very limited with the use of internal showers on the ship and showered mostly in the marinas. As for Zenta and their team, they were excellent. Communication was simple and clear, the process of renting and handing over the boat went smoothly, everyone involved was friendly, helpful and efficient. Among them, the base manager stood out, who was extremely helpful, friendly and reliable. Whenever I called him on his cell phone, he answered every time and offered help, at any time of the day or weekend. He really treated us extremely well and left a great impression on me and the crew. The shirts were a hit (the color is right) after we got the right numbers, uploading the picture to Facebook is going to be done soon, so the friends can like us (hopefully...). Let me know if you have specific questions, I'll be happy to answer. Best regards, Dubravko Pavlin ”
