Show original “ Briefly about navigation. - Oceanis 411, 9 years old, excellent boat in somewhat poorer condition, no problems for 8 crew members - route: - Split - ACY Uvala Baluni - nice marina, problems with maneuvers because there is a lot of wind, narrow but deep moorings - swimming in Bobovica on Brac (beautiful place) - Palmizana - ACY marina - every year in worse condition, but equally expensive, trip to Hvar HRK 70 per person (for 8 of us = HRK 560 (thanks to them for two 10-minute sailing trips), we couldn't get to the city by boat because of the strong southerly wind that makes it impossible to moor in the city harbor - unbelievable, but it was empty) - Starigrad on Hvar - several beautiful bays for swimming in the bay, a nice pier on the city's waterfront, fun in the strong southerly along the Hvar canal ( we were the only ones sailing and it's not at all strange to us why) - Milna, Brac - ACY marina - because of the works, it was crowded on the toilets and showers (little hot water) - return to Split - in short: great fun, very south, lucky we didn't go to Vis, sailors in marinas and piers would really have to and do something else because it has nothing to do with tourism, but that's already an old story, we spent a total of HRK 1,600 per person in those four days with all expenses - charter company: at the beginning everything was great, the check out was a bit longer (almost 1.5 hours - it wasn't his ship), due to the strong wind soon they helped us with a boat to set sail, the wind and ship speed gauge on the ship did not work, the depth gauge was a little strange - a total disappointment at check out: we were put on our souls by the crooked window on the bow and said that it the whole thing needs to be changed and it costs HRK 3,800 - it doesn't matter that none of us noticed it, except that our front cabin was already wet at the beginning (it means that it was leaking before), which we are sure that we didn't do anything like that to he bent it (apart from opening and closing, which is usually what windows and doors do), then straightened it with our hands and said that if we had done it earlier there would have been no problem - we argued for an hour, we said we would sue them, made a report, they don't want to return the deposit , account 3800 k n, they spoiled our great party - they call in a few days to say that they only left for the hinges, the bill was HRK 800, they paid us - then why don't they ask me to return part of the money because they didn't work with the wind and ship speed gauge, and one of the doors didn't open let it close, and once the toilet wasn't quite OK, and the refrigerator didn't close properly, and the binoculars were broken, and one pin on the auxiliary motor fell, and the auxiliary boat was empty... - that's what we paid for? - but we accept everything as normal because it is not a new boat and everything cannot be in order! - conclusion: it is clear that charter companies have to protect themselves, that's why they take a deposit, but we who give that deposit (in this case 1600 euros) are in a totally subordinate situation, because at every check out we could find details on the boat that are not valid and which we ourselves don't see at check-in - and we can't and don't need to - so on which charter boat the 9-year-old hinges on the bow window are not in the air - this gives charter companies a wonderful space to slowly repair their ships and the guys in the marinas to make a nice profit if they agree that they will be paid in black - you prefer to give 500 kn to him, even if you know that you are not guilty, just to return the slip in the amount of 11,600 kn - every next sailing will be the best moment for us when they return the deposit - because they can always do something for us find and sell some kind of money - of course, the exception is real damage caused by our fault - this is not so much a remark about this charter company, but about the whole system because it is not an exception Vladimir Rapaic, Croatia
