Sun Odyssey 36i

Boat Model Overview

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36i is a modern sailing yacht designed for confident cruising with a refined, practical layout. Built for charter between 2007 and 2012, this model balances easy handling under sail with a comfortable onboard rhythm. When you step aboard, the cockpit feels purpose-built for day sailing and evening passages—clean lines, reassuring visibility, and a secure working deck.

Accommodation is offered in multiple charter configurations, so the yacht matches different crew sizes. In the 2-cabin version there are 4 berths in cabins plus 2 additional berths, and one WC. Choose the 3-cabin option and you’ll find 6 berths in cabins with one WC, or variations that add 1 or even 2 additional berths depending on the specific charter spec. That flexibility matters. It turns a weekend escape into a longer voyage without forcing anyone to compromise—quiet sleep, tidy storage, and a galley set for real meals.

On the water, the Sun Odyssey 36i is known for predictable sailing behavior. It is built for owners who enjoy performance, yet it remains approachable for guests. You can sail at a calm, economical pace or press on when the breeze lifts. The rig and hull form support smooth motion, while the interior layout keeps life aboard organized. “Comfort” isn’t a slogan here—it’s the way the boat invites you to stay outside longer.

For charter, the typical weekly price range runs from about 1357.9 to 2321 EUR, with an average around 1680 EUR. This makes the 36i a smart choice for families, small groups, and couples who want authentic sailing without unnecessary complexity. Popular across four countries, it has earned a loyal following among renters who value dependable equipment, friendly ergonomics, and the unmistakable feeling of a true sailing yacht. Book early—breezes wait for nobody!
