Marina Parentium

Marina Parentium, of the Laguna Porec Group, is located in the Zelena Laguna holiday resort. Part of the Hotel Parentium complex, it is 5 km south of the tourist resort town of Porec on the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia.  It is a convenient base for sailing around the Istrian peninsula.  The picturesque coastline here includes the archipelago of the Brijuni Islands National Park, one of Croatia's most beautiful National Parks. This archipelago of 14 islands is easily accessible from the marina, the area offers friendly sailing conditions and the local climate is relatively mild.

Zelena Laguna is a verdant peninsula populated by hotels, apartments, campsites and other tourist-oriented facilities that are part of the Zelena Laguna Resort. Parentium Marina is situated on Cape Sv. Petar in the nearly circular Mulandrija Bay. It is open all year round and mostly well protected from winds of all directions,  although east winds can cause waves and swell. Charter boats for rental are available from this marina.

Approach is fairly straightforward, but there are a number of rocky islets and shoals lying up to half a mile offshore approaching from both the N and S. In particular, Zontuja islet has dangerous shoals extending several hundred metres N. The safest approach is from the NW, between Zontuja and Regata islets, leaving Zontuja at least 500 metres to starboard. Entering the bay, care should be taken of the buoyed-off swimming areas on either side. Depths in the entrance are 10 metres, although they shallow quickly as you move into the bay and depths in the marina are from 2.0 - 4.5 metres

Facilities

Parentium Marina has got 184 berths for yachts up to 20 metres and a maximum draft of 4m. All berths are supplied with electricity and water on the pontoon.

There is a small boatyard and a 10T crane where basic repairs can be done. Services available are mechanical, electronical, plastics expertise and joinery.

Facilities on site include a reception, a restaurant, a grocery store, sanitary facilities, and close by are the facilities of the resort including hotels, post-office, sports centre, a swimming pool and sundeck, entertainment, travel agency and medical care.
