Olive Island Marina is a small and modern, family-friendly marina located in the deep bay of Sutomiscica on the island of Ugljan, the first island in the Zadar Archipelago. Separated from the mainland by the Zadar Channel, there is fantastic sailing both in the channel and further out. Well connected with nearby, vibrant Zadar, the marina is also far enough away to be a perfect location for a relaxing Dalmatian sailing vacation.
Ugljan Island, known as the green island is the first stop on a sailing itinerary in the archipelago which can also include the Kornati Islands National Park and Telascica Nature Park. The Zadar Archipelago is popular among sailing enthusiasts as well as among travelers seeking remote unspoiled havens.
This boutique marina has been awarded the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Best Small Marina in Croatia award. It provides good shelter in most wind conditions, although strong NE winds may cause swell and affect some berths. Olive Island Marina is open all year round with the busiest months being in July and August, when charter season is in full swing.
Olive Island Marina has 225 wet berths, all of which are provided with water and electricity. It can accommodate boats and yachts up to 24 m on one of the four pontoons within the marina and more than 50 m in length on the breakwater.
Olive Island Marina can also accommodate super yachts up to 160m long with a maximum draft of 7m and offers berthing assistance.
The dry dock capacity is 25 berths and there is a 40T travel lift. The Olive Island Marina workshop and service zone offers comprehensive services for any boat. Among the services the marina offers are: lifting and lowering of vessels, underwater cleaning, annual service and engine maintenance, antifouling coat renewal and sail repairs.
The marina facilities include a reception desk, toilet and shower facilities, Wi-Fi access, a restaurant and bar, a nautical equipment shop, parking, garbage and recycling bins, taxi boat and car taxi services and bike and scooter rentals.
There is also a lovely swimming pool and sundeck, a private beach and a children’s play area. The staff is happy to organise day trips, diving tours and transfers, or suggest the best sailing itineraries, routes and spots in the Zadar Archipelago.
The excellent restaurant serves up a range of regional Dalmatian specialties as well as international dishes.
Olive Bay Marina is just 3 nautical miles from the mainland across the Zadar Channel. Zadar International airport is a further 12km away.
