Rhodes Marina, on Rhodes Island in the Dodecanese island complex, south eastern Greece is an ultra-modern, high-tech marina near the medieval town of Rhodes. Situated in splendid surroundings in the north, it is an excellent base for exploring by boat, or stopping off few a rest on a charter holiday. The Dodecanese complex consists of a group of 12 larger and 150 smaller Greek islands in the Aegean Sea that hug the coast of Turkey. Known for their mild climate and long tourist season, one can find crowded islands full of tourists as well as secluded areas, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.
Rhodes Marina has spacious quaysides and the buildings, designed to harmonise with the environment, are inspired by the medieval city of Rhodes. It is large, well-sheltered and aims to be a consummate port for mega yacht owners, providing infrastructure and high quality VIP services.
In the future Rhodes Marina aims to be awarded the Green Key award, a voluntary eco-label for hospitality facilities that promote sustainable tourism. Planned works to achieve this award are electricity production through renewable sources, collection of carbon dioxide for reuse, use of electric vehicles in the marina, collection and recycling of sails and ecologically sound waste management.
Rhodes Marina has got 382 sea berths, with a view to increasing them to 563. Additionally, the marina can accommodate super yachts up to 120 metres. All berths are supplied with water and electricity.
The marina also has a shipyard and a dry dock with about 250 dry berths. It contains a slipway for boats up to 35 meters and has plans for a travel lift with 400T loading capacity. Maintenance and repair services are available on request.
Facilities currently on site include sanitary facilities, parking, and electric cars for transfer of luggage and passengers within the marina, private dock areas accessible only by authorised card holders, a deli café and bar, comprehensive fire alarm and extinguishing systems, a refueling station, waste and bilge water collection stations. There are plans to expand the facilities to include a shopping centre, gym, duty free, supermarkets, luxury villas and more.
Rhodes Marina offers a fiber-optic network with direct IP connection at the berth terminals for immediate and secure data connections (fttb), wired network providing high-speed internet (up to 1Gbps), the ability to monitor vessels via live access to security cameras on mobile phones and tablets, wireless connections up to 50 Mbps, a thermal imaging camera and an underwater camera.
Rhodes Marina offers an On Demand VIP Service which includes meals cooked by famous chefs on board guests’ yachts, private dinners at exclusive restaurants, all kinds of transportation -from limousines to helicopters- and other exclusive services.
Rhodes Marina is about 25 km away from the Rhodes International Airport.
