Marina Izola

Marina Izola is located in the town of the same name on the Slovenian coast 7km southwest of Koper. The marina is used as base for a variety of water sports events, especially sailing regattas, and is a charming place to stopover while sailing down the Adriatic coast. This marina welcomes its visitors to a peaceful and picturesque environment with excellent facilities.

There are numerous sailing grounds accessible from this marina, including the Gulf of Trieste, the unspoiled Stunjan peninsula, which is a nature reserve, and the Croatian Adriatic coast further south. Izola Marina is well protected, with two large breakwaters protruding from each side. The good distances between piers allow better manoeuvring even in bad weather conditions. There is 24-hour docking assistance and it is possible to charter a boat from here.

Izola Marina is an eco-friendly marina which flies the prestigious Blue Flag for its adherence to sound environmental practices.

Facilities

The marina has 700 sea berths for boats up to 30 m and a draft of 4.5 m. All berths are supplied with power and water and only berth holders are admitted to the piers by means of electronic keys, thus ensuring peace and privacy.

Other facilities on site are car parking, 24-hour security, a nautical equipment store, sport facilities, a shopping centre, restaurant and Wi-Fi In addition, there is a holiday resort with a hotel, tennis courts, a swimming pool and casino and the vibrant old town of Izola is just a walk away.

Special disposal stations are placed in the marina for recyclable goods as well as chemical and oil waste.

Izola Marina has a travel lift with a 50T capacity for lifting operations and a self-moving trolley for boat transport. Boat servicing and maintenance include servicing vessels' underwater parts, boat engines service and repair, installation and repair of navigation devices, upholstery and joinery works, sail repair, mast installation and vessel cleaning.

Izola Marina is supplemented by its sister marina St. Andrea Marina which is only 18 nm away. Further maintenance, servicing and repair are available here, as well as winter berthing in hangers and dry berths.
