We’ve guided countless guests through the waters around Stockholm County, and the Bavaria 30 Cruiser has repeatedly impressed us with its calm, capable presence. This sailboat, built in 2006, is a refined rental choice for couples, small families, and friends who want genuine sailing character without unnecessary complexity. We actually like how it feels “easy to live with” from the first moment—luxury, yes, but also practical.
The layout is thoughtfully arranged for comfort: two cabins with sleeping space for four in the cabins, plus two additional berths for extra flexibility. At 9.45 meters long and 3.3 meters wide, it’s compact enough to handle smoothly, yet spacious enough to enjoy long evenings aboard. One toilet is included, and we’ve noticed guests appreciate the straightforward convenience on day trips and overnight stays.
Based on our experience, navigation confidence matters—especially when you’re cruising near the Swedish archipelago. That’s why we recommend this boat with its Raymarine navigation system, along with a GPS plotter and VHF radio. Communication and situational awareness feel reassuring here. There’s also heating for cooler hours, a refrigerator, and a proper galley with kitchen utensils—so meals don’t become an afterthought.
You’ll find classic sailing control with roller genoa and roller main sail, plus a roll-up convenience that keeps sail handling manageable. Teak in the cockpit, a cockpit shower, and a bathing platform turn the journey into something more than just transport. And although it does not have autopilot, the steering wheel setup and well-considered cockpit fittings make it feel steady.
