Every charter company we work with ( from Croatia, Greece, Italy, Malta, France, Spain, Turkey, Caribbean ...) has its own charter terms. Star Yachting as the agency, concludes contracts in the name of Charter Company. Our clients will be provided with charter terms of a chosen boat, authorised by Charter Company.
Every charter vessel that we offer has individual rental terms, determined by charter company. When clicking on a specific vessel you can read the detailed conditions of the lease.
In general, charter terms for boat charter are pretty similar for all charter boats on Adriatic and Mediterranean Yacht Charters.
Charter terms are an integral part of the charter contract for renting yachts for cruising, signed by the lessor and lessee. Charter terms and conditions regulate method of payment, security deposit, delivering and redelivering of vessel, obligations and rights of lessor and lessee, terms of lease cancellation, complaints, jurisdictions, etc.
The standard rule for yacht charter is advance payment in full. Payment should be made partially, advance payment upon reservation and the balance not later than 4 weeks before taking over the vessel. Once the full charter amount is received, the client will get a voucher for takeover of the vessel for a cruise.
A security deposit is obligatory for all boats in charter. Amount of security deposit depends on the boat size and insurance policy. Security deposit is payable upon embarcation and it shall be returned to the client on disembarkation if there is no damage, loss of equipment, late return, etc.
All rights and obligations of the lessor and lessee are regulated by charter terms for each charter boat separately.
Only written complaints, signed by both parties on the check-out will be taken into consideration. In case of disagreements that cannot be settled peacefully, the matter will be handled by court jurisdiction.
It is highly recommended that you read and understand general charter terms in order to prevent unwanted consequences of a breach of the Yacht Charter's lease.
