ACI marina Jezera

ACI Marina Jezera is the starting base for boat rentals from Murter.  The island of Murter is the largest and most densely populated island in Sibenik-Knin County in central Dalmatia. It is connected to the mainland by bridge at Tsinko and is an excellent base from which to explore the Kornati Islands by sail.

Murter’s southwestern coast is indented by little coves - great to start off a sailing holiday- most notably Slanica, which is great for swimming. The area here is well known for sailing as there is almost always wind.

Jezera is the oldest settlement on the island and ACI Jezera Marina, part of the ACI chain of marinas in Croatia, is located in the south of Jezera Bay. It is sheltered by a breakwater on its eastern side, and is open all year round. ACI Marina Jezera has numerous awards for its eco-friendly efforts including the prestigious Blue Flag.

Due to its position, Jezera is not exposed to the blasts of the wind and serves as an ideal harbour for boats. Approach is possible from either side of the island of Skoljic. The depth of the sea is 7m off the northern coast of the island, and approximately 15 m off the southern coast.  On approaching, a red lighthouse on the head of ACI Marina Jezera’s breakwater serves as a landmark. As the marina itself is situated well inside the Bay of Murter, the lighthouse on the island of Maslinjak can also be used for orientation. Between Maslinjak and Skoljic lies the island of Hrbosnjak. It is recommended to round this island from the east, as the channel between Hrbosnjak and Murter is shallow. On entering the marina watch out for the numerous local fishing boats.

Facilities

ACI Jezera Marina has 5 piers with 233 berths, all with power and water, and 60 dry berths and is also a great option for permanent berths for boat owners who wish to charter their boat.

There is a friendly reception with an exchange office and a shopping point. Located at the marina is a restaurant, swimming pool, launderette, toilet and shower facilities. ACI Jezera Marina also offers free Wi-Fi internet access and a fuel station. There is maintenance and repair shop and a 10 t crane which can save the vacation in case of some underwater damage.

Getting there and away

Despite being located on an island, the marina is well-connected to the mainland road network, via a bridge in Tisno, and there are two international airports nearby, in Zadar (60km) and Split (90km).
