Agios Kosmas Marina is a big and modern marina based very close to Athens, Greece. Built to host the Olympic Games 2004 sailing events, it is just 15km away from the centre of Athens next to the Glyfada suburb. Since then it has offered good shelter for a variety of private and charter yachts and offers daily, monthly and annual berthing all year round.
The stunning islands of the Saronic Gulf are a quick sail from here and popular destinations, with sound infrastructure and ideal sailing conditions. With almost 100 islands and rocky outlets in the area, it makes for an amazing sailing trip on a yacht charter. The area abounds with attractive towns, Byzantine castles, little fishing ports, ancient sites and ideal anchorages.
Approach to the marina is straightforward and docking assistance and guidance is available through VHF as well as tender pilot mooring assistance. The port entrance channel faces north with an opening of 40 meters and depths vary from 4.5 to about 6.7 meters. The port is protected by a breakwater that stretches for about 1000 meters to the southwest. The outer perimeter is protected by natural boulders. From the North it is protected by a triangular-shaped breakwater extending to the south.
Facilities
Agios Kosmas Marina can accommodate 337 boats in total, on both permanent and floating pontoons for yachts up to 90m, all supplied with power and water. The marina has a generator in case of a power failure. There is also a dry dock for winter berthing; however there is no repair yard.
The marina has excellent 24-hour security with CCTV and security personnel. Firefighting and emergency systems are located at each pier. Sanitary facilities are also on site and it is possible to organize re-fueling with a day’s notice.
Other facilities include a touchdown and lift-off area (TLOF) for helicopters, four main car park areas, a vacuum sewage system, a laundry service and a slipway for trailers.
All the amenities of the chic and busy Glyfada suburb are close by.

The marina is only 25 km away from the Athens International Airport and 12 km away from the commercial port of Piraeus.
