Alimos Marina is one of the largest and busiest marinas in Greece. It is located south west of Athens, 15 Km from the city center, and provides excellent all weather shelter. The marina offers basic services only but is conveniently located transfer-wise and a good place to pick up a charter boat.
The stunning islands of the Saronic Gulf are a quick sail from here and are well-known sailing destinations in Greece. The area has an excellent tourism infrastructure and around 100 islands and rocky outlets to explore on a yacht charter. The sailing grounds are rich with attractive towns, Byzantine castles, little fishing ports, ancient sites and ideal anchorages. The Cyclades Island complex is also accessible from this marina. The Cyclades are known for their plentiful sunshine, stark and near-barren landscape, white-than-white-washed houses, traditional windmills, wild flowers, a lively night scene and bracing wind.
Approach to the marina is straightforward and there are laid moorings and you do not have to anchor. Many charter fleets maintain permanent berths in this functional marina and it is open all year round.
Alimos Marina has got 1000 permanent sea berths for yachts up to 40 meters long with a maximum draft of 6m. All berths are supplied with power and water.
Other facilities at the marina include showers and toilets, a refueling service, a restaurant and snack bar, a nightclub, parking, security and PIR automatic lights and First Aid provisions,
Conveniently located close to the marina are big supermarkets, who will deliver to boats, a well-stocked chandlery shop, banking services, car rental, laundry, a hair salon and a pharmacy. There are a variety of restaurants offering local and international cuisine on and around the main road Poseidonos Avenue some of which will deliver to the yachts.
Being so close to Athens, all the delights of Greece’s capital city await the guests of the marina.
