Athens Marina

Athens Marina, just 9km away from the historic capital, is designed to cater to the mooring needs of mega yachts, also known as super yachts. This first-class marina was founded in 2004, to accommodate the yachts of VIP visitors to the 2004 Olympic Games and is found in Piraeus next to the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

A homeport for luxury mega yachts, VIPs and known for its privacy, security and top-quality service, this marina is the gateway to the Saronic Islands. Varied sailing, charming towns, historic castles, small fishing ports, ancient sites and ideal anchorages are to be found. There are almost 100 islands and rocky outlets in the area and an excellent tourism infrastructure. Sailing south is the remarkable Cyclades Island complex. Equally famous for its cosmopolitan party islands as well as its  stark beauty and glorious sunshine, the Cyclades lie in wait to be explored by boat.

Approach to the marina  is straightforward as there is a sizable seafront entrance, along with tender pilot assistance and a unique dock for alongside berthing, which can accommodate yachts up to 130m.

Facilities

Athens Marina has 130 sea berths and can accommodate yachts up to 130m. All berths ae supplied with power and water.

Other facilities include a  reception, showers and restrooms, phone, fax & postal services, car, taxi & limousine rental,    general tourist information, Wi-Fi, parking, a helipad, storage space, yacht cleaning and laundry services and nearby shops and markets. On request there are diving services, technical services for any boat issues and fuel services by mini-tanker.

In terms of waste management Athens Marina has one of the most modern sewage management systems which operate with vacuum technology. There are also collections tanks for  oil, lubricants and bilge. Recycling bins are found at all piers for recyclable material and batteries.

Security and privacy in Athens Marina are excellent with a  security fence,    CCTV,   controlled vehicle entrance, single exit/entry point for all vehicles and pedestrians ,  24-hour surveillance and vehicle patrol, a watch tower and direct access to the Athens Port Police inside the marina.

Additionally, there is a  Fire fighting water network that covers all open areas of the marina, with fire nests every 25m.
