Zea Marina

General

Zea Marina, of the D-marin Group, is conveniently situated in Athens near the main port of Piraeus. From here the Argosaronic Gulf, the Peloponnese and further out the Cyclades islands await those who like to sail the seas. It’s an easy and convenient place to pick up your charter for some sublime sailing in gorgeous Greece. A port with an ancient history, it was founded in the 5^th century BC as a war harbour and shipyard. In modern times it was converted into a commercial port when tourists started to come to the Aegean.

Zea Marina is a full service, high end marina which was completely renovated for the 2004 Olympic Games and continues to hold the standard today. Gateway to the easy sailing areas of the Saronic Gulf, which is protected from summer winds and has plenty to take a look at, such as glamourous towns, ancient temples, Byzantine forts and castles, unspoiled anchorages, quaint and peaceful fishing villages and sensational sandy beaches

In the centre of the Aegean Sea, to the south, lies the island complex of Cyclades. Ancient myth sets the archipelago as the scene where the god of sun and light, Apollo, was born and consists of around 2,200 island, islets and rocky outcroppings. The Cyclades are known for their abundant sunshine, stark and almost barren landscape, white washed houses, and traditional windmills, footpaths lined with wild flowers, a lively night scene and wind! Island hopping around on your sailing charter or motorboat is simply divine.

Zea Marina can cater to superyachts too, and is a popular destination for this crowd. The marina can accommodate yachts up to 150 m with plenty of space and assistance for maneuvering.

Facilities

The marina has a mooring capacity of 670 boats, on permanent or floating pontoons for boats up to 150m with an 8m draft. All berths are supplied with power (220V – 380V) and water. Permanently laid moorings guarantee the safety of the boats moored here.

Facilities at this marina include; WC and showers, wireless internet access (via pre-paid card), outdoor car parking, diving services, fuel services (via truck) and 24 hour security service.

Technical services offered are basic engine, electrical and electronic repairs

In addition there are a number of commercial shops, car, motorbike and boat rental offices, restaurants, bars and cafés, a port police office, a refueling station, a well-stocked supermarket and a laundry.
