Yacht Overview

From our experience, the Sun Odyssey 440 is one of the most reassuring choices for guests who want a comfortable sailing holiday with real charter practicality. This 2019 sailboat is based in Volos, Greece, and we have noticed that the area is ideal for relaxed day sails and easy coastal cruising. We advise families and small groups alike: with 4 cabins it feels spacious, yet it still handles smoothly.

We state with certainty that the layout works well for up to 8 berths in cabins, plus 2 additional berths when needed. For many of our visitors, that flexibility is exactly what makes the booking feel “just right.” At 13 meters length overall and 4.29 meters beam, she strikes a balanced profile: stable under sail, comfortable at anchor, and manageable for a competent crew.

Our guests often ask what makes her stand out on charter. Actually, it’s the blend of safety and ease-of-use equipment we see on board: autopilot for calmer watches, VHF radio for straightforward communication, and a GPS chart plotter in the cockpit to keep navigation simple. The bow thruster is another detail we have seen appreciated in busy marinas around Volos—tight maneuvers become far less stressful. There’s also an electric anchor windlass, plus a bimini top and sprayhood for changing Aegean weather. When the sun is strong, our guests enjoy the cockpit shower after a swim—little things, big comfort!

We recommend this Sun Odyssey 440 for anyone looking to charter a modern, well-equipped sailing yacht in Greece. She’s ready for memorable sailing days—quiet evenings too. Just imagine the lines of the coast passing by… and then, *snap*, you’re back at the cockpit table, planning the next stop!
