Yacht Overview
Bavaria 49, a 2003 sailboat built for reliable charter and rental sailing, is based in Corfu, Greece. With 5 cabins and accommodation for 10 berths in cabins plus 1 additional berth, this yacht suits families and groups who want comfort at anchor and calm handling under sail. The length of 15.4 m and a beam of 4.37 m give a balanced deck plan and stable living space. Updated in 2022, the interior and onboard systems are kept ready for the season.
Three toilets serve the guests efficiently, especially during busy days in the Ionian. Practical navigation equipment is set up for confident passage planning: GPS plotter, electronic sea charts, radar and AIS, supported by VHF radio and GMDSS. For safety at sea, you will find an autopilot, radar reflector, EPIRB distress radio beacon, inflatable liferaft, life belts, lifebuoys, flares, and an emergency tiller. Sound and visibility gear is also present, including a fog horn and navigation lights.
On board life feels composed. A 220 V socket at the chart table, battery charger, freezer and refrigerator, hot and fresh water, heating, and a galley with stove and kitchen utensils support longer stays. In the cockpit you get cushions and a cockpit shower, plus a cockpit table for relaxed meals. The bow thruster helps in tight ports around Corfu. Sail handling is simplified with a roll main sail and roll genoa.
There is also a tender aboard, used as the practical shore connection when the coastline is shallow. Teak deck details, sprayhood, bathing platform, swimming ladder, and a wind instrument set complete the package. Ready for a week of cruising!
