Boat Overview
We’ve sailed with many Oceanis models through the Adriatic, and the Oceanis 38.1 in Split, Croatia, is one of the most practical choices we can recommend for a charter holiday. This is a modern sailboat built in 2019, designed around comfort without losing the feel of classic cruising under sail. With 3 cabins and 6 berths in cabins plus 2 additional berths, it works especially well for families or small groups who want proper sleeping space and an easy daily routine aboard.
From our experience, guests notice the balance between cockpit usability and interior livability. The deck setup supports active sailing, and the sail wardrobe is refreshed: main sail (2025) and genoa (2025). That matters! Fresh cloth usually means more predictable trim and a cleaner drive when conditions change. The overall dimensions, 11.5 m length and 3.99 m width, give a stable platform for coastal routes around Split and the nearby islands.
Onboard, we advise paying attention to the navigation and comfort package. There is a GPS chart plotter in the cockpit, VHF radio, and autopilot—exactly the combination our guests appreciate when they’re handling frequent short hops. For power management, the battery charger and solar panel help keep systems steady. Electronics are also complemented by Wi‑Fi Internet and an LCD TV.
For safety and day-to-day handling, we’ve seen this boat equipped in a way that feels reassuring: 2 toilets, an electric anchor windlass, cockpit shower, bimini top, and a tender for shore access. The galley includes an oven, refrigerator, and stove, so you can actually cook onboard, not just “heat something up”!
