Boat Overview
From our experience advising guests, the Elan 40 Impression in Šibenik is one of those sailboats that simply feels “ready” the moment you step aboard. Built in 2016 and designed for smooth, confident charter days, this 11.9 m cruiser fits beautifully into the Adriatic rhythm around Croatia’s historic coast.
We’ve noticed that charter guests love the balance here: three comfortable cabins for a total of 6 berths in cabins, plus two extra berths for flexible group travel. It’s the kind of layout that works for families, couples traveling together, or friends who want privacy without feeling isolated. Actually, our guests often tell us the boat feels calmer than expected—especially when the wind steadies and the helm becomes effortless.
Sailing-wise, the sail plan is well cared for. The main sail was updated in 2023, while the genoa arrived fresh in 2024. That matters! Fresh sail cloth translates into easier handling and more consistent performance when you’re hopping between coves.
Šibenik itself is a fantastic starting point, and we recommend planning at least one day for the quieter bays nearby—there’s a special kind of magic there, with stone, water, and evenings that last longer than planned. With two toilets onboard, you’ll appreciate the practicality during longer stays.
We also like the “comfort at sea” approach: bimini top for shade, heating and hot water for cooler mornings, and a cockpit that’s made for relaxed meals. If you’re looking for a charter sailboat that feels modern, well-prepared, and genuinely enjoyable to sail, the Elan 40 Impression is a smart choice.
