Yacht Overview
We’ve advised many guests heading to the Adriatic, and Hanse 588 is one of those sailboats that consistently earns trust for charter use. Based on our experience with flotillas from Trogir, this 2017-built 17.2 m performance cruiser feels solid, comfortable, and remarkably “ready to sail” from the first day. We recommend it especially for groups that want a real cruising layout without sacrificing handling.
The boat is designed with 6 cabins and sleeps 10 guests in cabins, plus 3 additional berths for extra flexibility. Actually, that capacity matters in Trogir, where our guests often plan day sails, longer coastal passages, and relaxed evenings aboard. The 3 heads make morning routines smoother—no waiting, no stress!
From a technical standpoint, we have noticed that the onboard systems are tuned for practical charter sailing. The self-tacking jib reduces workload when conditions change, and the autopilot supports effortless steering during longer stretches. For situational awareness, the VHF radio and radar setup are complemented by modern navigation electronics, including a GPS chart plotter in the cockpit.
Comfort is not an afterthought here. We state with certainty that air conditioning and heating help maintain a stable onboard climate, even when the weather turns. The cockpit shower and shower area are a small luxury after swimming from the bathing platform. There’s also a hard top for shade and a teak deck that elevates the feel of the deck underfoot.
