Yacht Overview
From our experience, the Bavaria C42 is one of the most dependable charter sailboats for guests who want comfort without losing that classic sailing feel. This 2023-built sailboat is based in Sukošan, Croatia, a smart starting point for exploring the Adriatic at your own pace. We have seen many couples and small families choose this model because it balances handling, space, and modern onboard equipment.
With a length of 12.4 m and a beam of 4.3 m, she offers 3 cabins for a total of 6 berths in the sleeping areas, plus 1 additional berth. For charter use, that layout matters: it keeps the interior practical while still feeling roomy when you step below after a swim.
Technically, we recommend this boat for skippers who appreciate support in navigation and steering. The package includes a GPS chart plotter, autopilot, and a VHF radio, complemented by instruments such as an echosounder and wind instruments. A self-tacking jib makes short-handed sailing noticeably easier, and the bow thruster helps during low-speed maneuvers in busy marinas. Safety is taken seriously as well, with standard distress signaling gear and a full set of onboard safety equipment.
Onboard comfort is also very “charter-friendly.” Expect a bimini top for shade, a cockpit shower, cockpit cushions, and a bathing platform for quick entries to the water. There’s also heating and hot water, plus a well-equipped galley with an oven, stove, and refrigerator. We advise guests to check the bimini and cockpit layout at embarkation—small details, big comfort!
