Boat Overview
From our experience with sailboat rentals in the Adriatic, the Sun Odyssey 349 is a very dependable choice for guests sailing out of Split. We have noticed that this model’s balance of comfort and handling suits both first-time renters and experienced crews. Actually, it’s the kind of boat we recommend when you want an easy rhythm: short hops along the coast, calm mornings in the harbor, and straightforward evenings at anchor.!
Built in 2017, this 10.34 m sailing yacht carries 3 cabins and accommodates 6 berths in the cabins, with 2 additional berths available if your group needs them. For many of our guests who booked with us so far, the layout feels practical: everyone has a proper sleeping space, and the interior remains usable without feeling crowded. We state with certainty that the single toilet setup works well for groups that plan their day around shore stops.
You’ll depart from Split, Croatia, and that location is a real advantage. We have seen crews use the nearby islands right away, staying flexible with wind and weather. The boat’s deck and cockpit are arranged for active sailing, while the electronics support navigation in a calm, confident way. The GPS chart plotter in the cockpit, VHF radio, and autopilot help reduce workload when you’re managing sail changes.
For safety and day-to-day convenience, we like to highlight the practical equipment: the anchor with rope, bathing platform, cockpit shower, and the anchor windlass for controlled anchoring. There is also a set of essentials for onboard living, including bed linen and towels, a functional galley, and the usual safety gear such as life jackets and flares. The tender is on board as well—handy when you want to reach beaches with ease.
