Sun Odyssey 490 sailing yacht – LEFKAS

Yacht Overview

We know the Sun Odyssey 490 very well, and from our experience this is one of those sailboats that immediately appeals to guests who want a comfortable and modern holiday on the water. Built in 2020, she offers a very attractive balance between performance and easy living on board. In our view, the layout works especially well for families or groups of friends looking for a yacht for charter in Lefkas, Greece.

This model comes with 4 cabins and a total of 8 berths in cabins, plus 3 additional berths, so she can welcome larger groups without feeling crowded. We have noticed that guests appreciate the sense of space on board, and the Sun Odyssey 490 delivers exactly that. Her length of 14.02 m and beam of 4.57 m create a stable and generous interior, while the five toilets add real comfort for longer stays. Actually, this is one of the details that makes a difference when several people are sharing the same sailboat.

Based on our knowledge, the equipment list is well chosen for relaxed cruising. Air condition, generator and solar panel support a pleasant stay, especially in the warmer Greek season. The bow thruster, autopilot, chart plotter and electric winches make handling easier, even for guests who prefer a more relaxed approach. We also like the full batten main, roll genoa and teak in cockpit, as they contribute to both sailing efficiency and onboard comfort. The bimini top and sprayhood are very useful additions, and the cockpit cushions and cockpit speakers make time at anchor even more enjoyable.

We can say with confidence that this sailboat is a strong choice for charter in Lefkas. She is modern, practical and well equipped for island-hopping in the Ionian. Guests who have booked with us so far often look for exactly this kind of balance: a reliable model, comfortable cabins, and features that make each day at sea easier. The tender, snorkelling equipment and diving equipment add even more value for those who want to enjoy the water to the fullest. We think she is an excellent option for a memorable sailing holiday.
