Yacht Overview
We know the Lagoon 42 very well, and in Sicily it is one of those catamarans that immediately makes sense for guests who want comfort, space, and easy cruising in the same package. Built in 2023, this 12.8-metre model belongs to the Comfort Line and offers the kind of layout we often recommend for families or groups of friends who value privacy and relaxed living on board. With six cabins, eight berths in cabins, and four additional berths, she gives a flexible accommodation plan for a larger party without feeling cramped. There are also five toilets, which we have found to be a very practical detail on longer stays.
From our experience, the wide 7.01-metre beam is one of the Lagoon 42’s strongest advantages. It creates an open, stable feel at anchor and at sea, and guests usually appreciate how naturally the living areas flow together. We have noticed that the cockpit cushions and the full-batten main sail make time on board feel more comfortable and more efficient, while the lazy bag and roll genoa add to the easy handling that this model is known for. Electric winches are another welcome touch, especially for crews who want smooth sailing with less effort. Actually, this is one of the reasons many guests choose her for a Sicily route.
We can say with confidence that the onboard equipment supports independent cruising very well. The chart plotter helps with navigation, the solar panel and inverter support daily use, and the watermaker is a valuable feature for longer itineraries. There is also a refrigerator for provisions, an electric toilet, a tender with outboard engine, and mooring on the first and last day in our marina, which we consider a very convenient start and finish to the trip.
Based on our knowledge, the Lagoon 42 is a smart choice for [[charter in Sicily: modern, spacious#A731]], and well equipped, with the right balance between performance and comfort. Our guests who have trusted us with similar catamarans often tell us the same thing — she feels easy, practical, and genuinely enjoyable at sea.
