Yacht Overview
We can confidently recommend the Beneteau Oceanis 45 for guests who want a comfortable charter sailboat with real cruising capability. This 2014-built sailing yacht is based in Kaštela, Croatia, and from our experience it’s a smart choice for groups that like to move efficiently between bays while still having a calm, “home-like” interior.
With four cabins and a total capacity for eight berths in cabins plus two additional berths, it works very well for families and small friend groups. We’ve noticed that the layout feels practical during day sailing, and the evenings stay relaxed thanks to the salon arrangement and the usable cockpit space.
The dimensions matter for handling, and the Oceanis 45 measures 13.85 m in length with a 4.49 m beam. For sail performance, the main sail and genoa were renewed in 2023, and that’s a detail our guests really appreciate when conditions change. We advise you to take advantage of the roll-genoa and roll-main system for quick sail adjustments without turning the day into a project.
Onboard, the technical comfort is clear. You’ll find an autopilot for steadier steering, a bow thruster that makes marina maneuvers noticeably easier, and an electric anchor windlass for smooth anchoring. The cockpit is equipped with cushions, a cockpit shower, and a cockpit table, while the bathing platform supports easy water access.
For safety and convenience, there are life jackets, bilge pumping by electric system, and a black water tank. Power and comfort are supported by heating and hot water, and for entertainment there are indoor and outdoor speakers, plus a radio with CD/MP3 and USB/AUX input.
Actually, the bimini top and sprayhood help a lot on sunny afternoons and sudden coastal weather. We state with certainty: this is a charter-ready sailboat with the right balance of performance, space, and ease in Kaštela.
