Boat Overview
We’ve guided many guests through the Adriatic, and based on our experience the Dufour 35 is a smart choice for a comfortable rental sailboat. This one is berthed in Vodice, Croatia, a location we know well for easy access to islands and protected coves. Built in 2016, she has the feel of a modern cruising platform—solid, balanced, and ready for day sails or longer passages.
Her layout is practical: three cabins for privacy, with sleeping space for six in the cabins plus two additional berths. For a group of friends or a small family, that extra capacity matters. We also observed that guests appreciate how the interior stays usable even when everyone is aboard!
Under sail, the main sail and genoa were renewed in 2023, so you’ll start with fresh performance. The self-tacking jib reduces workload when conditions change—actually, we’ve seen this feature make life easier for less experienced crews. At the helm you get an autopilot and a VHF radio, and the navigation suite supports confident decision-making along the coast.
We recommend planning your rhythm around the 10.7 m length and 3.41 m beam: she’s manageable in marina work yet stable enough for relaxed cruising. There is one toilet aboard, which is usually the sweet spot for this size.
For safety and comfort, we’ve noticed a complete set of essentials: life jackets, life raft, flares, and a buoyant smoke signal. Practical systems are covered too, including an electrical anchor windlass, cockpit shower, bilge pumps (electric and mechanical), and a shore connection for 220 V.
