Based on our experience with crews sailing around Kos, Greece, we can say with confidence that this 2015-built performance cruiser is very well suited for a smooth, comfortable charter. It is a sailboat designed for people who want space, predictable handling, and practical systems onboard—without turning the trip into a maintenance exercise.
The Hanse 505 is a modern 15.4 m cruiser with a 4.75 m beam, built to feel stable at sea and easy to manage in changing wind. For charter use, its layout is the real strength: 6 cabins can accommodate 11 berths inside, plus 1 additional sleeping place. That capacity works nicely for mixed groups—families, small friend parties, and corporate crews—while still keeping everyday movement around the saloon and companionway efficient.
From a sailing perspective, we recommend it especially for guests who like to sail actively. The self-tacking jib reduces workload when tacking, and the full-batten main supports a firm, efficient sail shape.
