Boat Overview
We’ve guided many guests through the waters around Athens, and the Dufour 382 GL is one of those sailboats that simply feels “right” from the first moments aboard. Built in 2015, this 11.25 m cruiser-racer blend is designed for charter and rental comfort without losing that elegant, responsive sailing character.
With three cabins, it welcomes up to six guests in sleeping spaces plus one additional berth, making it an ideal choice for couples traveling together with friends—or a small family who prefers privacy. Two toilets keep mornings easy and unhurried, even when the day starts early for a swim stop.
We particularly like the way the sail plan is handled. The self-tacking jib reduces workload when you’re sailing coastal routes from Athens, while the roll main sail adds a practical, tidy rhythm as wind and light shift. Add in the autopilot and GPS chart plotter in the cockpit, and you’ll feel the difference immediately—steady, confident, composed.
For the comfort side, the bimini top and sprayhood help you stay relaxed under changing skies. A bow thruster makes maneuvering in busy harbors feel far less demanding, and the electric anchor windlass is exactly the kind of detail our guests appreciate after a long day at anchor.
We also observed that the cockpit teak finish and the wind instruments elevate the “luxury editorial” mood—subtle, tasteful, and functional! Solar power and hot water round it out for longer days afloat.
If you’re looking for a modern 3-cabin sailboat for a charter in Greece, we can say with confidence: the Dufour 382 GL is a refined, easy companion—ready for Athenian departures, island evenings, and effortless returns.
