Hanse 508 sailing yacht – Athens

Yacht Overview

We’ve supported many guests in Athens, and the Hanse 508 stands out as a confident choice for a sailing holiday with real comfort. This 2020 sailboat is built for charter and rental use, and we can say with certainty that it feels modern, stable, and easy to manage once you’re on board. With 6 cabins and accommodation for 10 people in cabins plus 2 additional berths, it suits both families and groups who want privacy without losing the social atmosphere on deck.

From our experience, the layout is what makes the difference on longer days around Athens and the Saronic waters. You’ll find 5 toilets, which helps keep routines smooth even when the guest list is full. The length overall is 15.55 m with a beam of 4.75 m, giving a balanced stance under sail and at anchor.

Technically, we’ve noticed the Hanse 508 is equipped like a well-prepared sailing platform rather than a barebones rental. Navigation and situational awareness are supported by a GPS plotter, wind/speed/depth instruments, and a VHF radio. For sail handling, the self-tacking jib and a full batten mainsail reduce workload and keep performance consistent. The autopilot and bow thruster also make maneuvering calmer in busy marinas and tighter berths!

For comfort ashore and at sea, the bimini top and sprayhood add practical protection. Practical systems like the electric anchor windlass, refrigerator, and solar panel help you stay self-sufficient. On board, you’ll also have nautical charts, a pilot book, outside speakers, and a radio CD with MP3 playback. We recommend it for guests who want a technically capable yacht—clean lines, secure sailing, and a smooth charter experience in Athens, Greece.
