Sun Odyssey 419 sailboat – Athens

Yacht Overview

We’ve guided many guests through the Aegean, and the Sun Odyssey 419 is one of those sailboats that consistently feels “right” for a charter in Athens. Built in 2018, this 12.76 m cruiser is designed around comfort and easy handling—exactly what our clients ask for when they want days that start smoothly and end even better.

With three cabins, the layout suits couples, small families, and groups that value privacy. It accommodates 6 guests in cabins, plus 2 additional berths when needed. We’ve noticed that this extra flexibility matters in real life: plans change, friends join, and evenings still stay comfortable.

From our experience, the Athens base is ideal for exploring nearby islands and coves at a relaxed pace. The cockpit navigation area is well set up, and the GPS chart plotter in the cockpit helps with confident route choices. Autopilot and wind instruments make long passages less tiring—especially when the breeze steadies and the sea turns glassy.

Comfort at anchor is not an afterthought here. There is a black water tank for proper waste management, electric fans in the cabins for warm nights, and hot water for practical daily routines. Under sail, the bow thruster and the electric anchor windlass reduce stress during docking and anchoring.

We also recommend it for guests who enjoy a tidy, functional sail plan. The roll genoa and bimini top are particularly useful for managing sun and sail handling without drama. Teak in the cockpit adds that classic cruising feel—quietly, but clearly. Honestly, based on what we’ve seen with charter parties, this is a dependable week on the water!
