Yacht Overview
We have chartered many catamarans in the Mediterranean, and the Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 is one of those boats that immediately feels “ready for guests.” Built in 2023 and based in Italy, this 13.94 m catamaran is designed for comfortable, technical sailing with a clear charter mindset. We advise couples, families, and small groups who want real live-aboard convenience without giving up performance.
On board you’ll find 4 cabins for 6 guests in total, with 2 additional berths available when needed. From our experience, that cabin layout is especially practical for a mixed group: everyone gets privacy, and the common areas stay usable during longer days. The 3 toilets add a level of comfort we often see our guests appreciate—no queueing, just smooth transitions.
Technically, we observed a well-planned electrical setup for charter operations. The ship is equipped with a battery charger and solar support, plus 220 V shore connection for easy provisioning at ports. For navigation and safety, there is a GPS chart plotter in the cockpit, wind/speed/depth instruments, and autopilot. We recommend this configuration for skippers who want workload reduced during coastal passages.
Life on deck is equally considered. The hydraulic lifting swimming platform makes water access straightforward; the cockpit fridge and freezer support extended cruising days. For cooking, there’s a full galley with oven, gas cooker, dishwasher, and proper kitchen utensils—actually, it’s the kind of galley our guests remember.
Expect comfort at sea: air conditioning, electric fans in the cabins, and a bimini top for shade. Sound is handled with a Fusion system and Hi‑Fi, while entertainment includes an LCD TV. And yes—there’s a radar, VHF radio, and electric winches with an electric anchor windlass. Everything feels integrated… and that’s exactly what we look for when we recommend a rental.
