We’ve been chartering sailing families and experienced crews for years, and the Bavaria C46 in Golfo Aranci is the kind of sailboat that makes planning feel easy. This 14.5 m cruiser is built for charter and rental guests who want comfort, predictable handling, and a calm, confident start each morning. Actually, we think the layout shines for groups: it offers 4 cabins with berths for 8 people in cabins, plus 1 additional berth. That extra sleeping option often matters on busy weeks—one more crew member, one more friend, no stress.
Built in 2026, the boat is fresh, with systems that are ready for modern day sailing. From our experience, guests appreciate the self-tacking jib, because it reduces workload when the breeze changes and keeps the sail plan balanced. We also observed that the bow thruster helps a lot in tight marinas and in the windy approaches around Golfo Aranci. For navigation and safety, the GPS plotter is complemented by radar reflector and AIS, while VHF radio and an autopilot keep the workload manageable.
If you like practicality at anchor, there’s a bathing platform and a cockpit shower—small things, but they make the day feel complete. The cockpit is also set up for comfortable time onboard, with cushions and a bimini top when the sun gets sharp. We state with certainty that the refrigeration and galley equipment make longer stays realistic, not rushed.
