Boat Overview
We’ve chartered and advised on thousands of days on the water, and the Sun Odyssey 37 from 2005 is exactly the kind of sailboat our guests keep coming back to. Based in Izola, Slovenia, this 11.4 m cruiser is a comfortable choice for a relaxed rental, whether you’re planning a calm coastline day or a longer hop along the Adriatic. We think it strikes a sweet balance: easy to handle, yet still “proper sailing” in feel.
This boat is set up with 3 cabins and can sleep 6 in the cabin layout, plus 2 additional berths. For families and small groups, that extra flexibility matters—actually, we’ve noticed it helps a lot when plans change at the last minute. With one head, it remains practical for day-to-day comfort without turning the interior into a maze.
From our experience, the important thing is how confident you feel on departure. Here, you’ll find a full navigation and safety mindset onboard: GPS and GPS plotter, VHF radio, autopilot, radar reflector, AIS-style awareness via the navigation suite, and an echo sounder with depth and related instruments. Add the bow thruster and you’ll understand why many of our guests call this boat “easy at the dock!”
The cockpit is built for real use, with a bimini top and cockpit shower for those warm, salty afternoons. For anchoring, there’s an electric windlass and the necessary gear.
