Sun Odyssey 490 sailing yacht – Kaş

Yacht Overview

We’ve guided many guests through the turquoise coves of Kaş, and the Sun Odyssey 490 is one of those sailboats that simply feels made for a refined charter experience. Built in 2022 and designed as a comfortable sailing home, she blends modern performance with a calm, upscale atmosphere—exactly what our clients ask for when they want both style and ease!

This is a six-cabin sailboat with space for 10 guests in cabins, plus one additional berth. From our experience, that layout is ideal for families and small groups who want privacy without sacrificing together-time. Measuring 14.42 meters in length and 4.49 meters in width, she offers a confident presence on the water while still feeling welcoming at anchor.

Based in Kaş, Turkey, she’s perfectly positioned for day-to-day cruising along the coastline, with easy access to secluded bays and lively harbors. We’ve noticed that guests love the practical comforts onboard—things like the cockpit shower after a swim, the bimini top for shade, and the bathing platform that makes getting back aboard feel effortless.

When it comes to sailing convenience, we recommend her for charterers who value modern navigation and hands-on comfort. The autopilot and GPS chart plotter in the cockpit help keep the pace smooth, while the VHF radio and tridata support confident communication and monitoring.

Luxury, though, is never just about equipment. It’s about the feeling of being looked after. Our guests who have trusted us with this model often tell us the same thing: the ride is composed, the cabin setup is thoughtful, and the whole trip feels beautifully organized—right from the first moment we help you step aboard.
