From our experience, the Dufour 430 in Jezera, Croatia is one of those sailboats that simply works for guests who booked with us for a smooth, comfortable week on the water. We’ve noticed that the layout suits groups very well: four cabins for proper privacy, with berths for eight in cabins plus two additional sleeping places when needed. Actually, that extra flexibility matters on charter days when weather changes fast—calm one moment, brisk the next!
This is a sailboat built in 2022, so the systems feel modern and the handling is reassuring. At 13.24 m length and 4.3 m beam, she’s compact enough for practical maneuvering in Adriatic marinas, yet stable and confident under sail. We can say with certainty that she’s an excellent choice for a charter/rental itinerary that mixes sheltered bays with longer passages along the coast.
Onboard, we recommend paying attention to the sailing setup and navigation support. The self-tacking jib makes short-handed sailing realistic, and the autopilot reduces workload during day sails. For communication and situational awareness, there’s a VHF radio and AIS, while the GPS chart plotter in the cockpit helps you keep a clear picture of coastline and traffic. The bow thruster is a welcome aid in tighter berths; our guests often thank us for that when entering after a windy spell.
For comfort ashore and aboard, she’s equipped with a bimini top, heating and hot water. Two toilets make morning routines easier for a crew of eight. The cockpit also includes cushions and a shower, so you can rinse off after swimming—no drama, just sailing!
