Yacht Overview

We’ve guided many guests through the Mediterranean, and the Dufour 460 GL in Sardinia keeps coming up for good reason. This sailboat is built for charter and rental, and from our experience it strikes an excellent balance between comfort for crews of friends and easy handling for skippered holidays. The boat was launched in 2017, yet it feels modern and well prepared for life on the water.

With room for 10 berths in four cabins, plus 2 additional berths, it works beautifully for families or small groups who still want privacy. Actually, the layout is one of those details you notice immediately: four cabins mean calmer mornings, and four toilets make the day run smoother—no rushing, no waiting. The overall length of 14.15 m and a beam of 4.5 m give a stable, welcoming platform, especially when you’re anchored off a beach or slipping into a harbor.

What we observed on similar trips is that fresh sail inventory matters, and here the main sail and genoa were renewed in 2025. That’s a big plus for confident sailing along Sardinia’s coast, where wind can change quickly—one minute you’re gliding, the next you’re adjusting with precision.

On board, the practical touches stand out: a bimini top for shaded afternoons, cockpit cushions for long stays, and a cockpit shower for those “just swam!” moments. Navigation is handled with a GPS chart plotter in the cockpit, while the autopilot and VHF radio add peace of mind offshore. We also appreciate the electric anchor windlass—dropping anchor feels effortless.

From our knowledge, guests who have trusted us value the overall readiness: roll genoa, full battens on the mainsail, and a reliable outboard engine for tender use when you need to reach shore. Sardinia deserves a sailboat like this—clean lines, real comfort, and a crew-first attitude!
