Oceanis 40.1 sailboat – Athens

Yacht Overview

We’ve guided many guests through the Ionian Sea, and the Oceanis 40.1 is a clear, confident choice for a charter in Lefkas, Greece. This modern sailboat is built in 2024, and we’ve noticed it carries itself with a comfortable, easy-to-handle balance—ideal for crews who want both sailing pleasure and practical onboard comfort. With four cabins and eight berths, it suits families and small groups who prefer real privacy instead of tight shared space.

At 12.87 meters length overall and 4.18 meters beam, the boat offers a solid footprint for day-to-day cruising around Lefkas and neighboring coves. According to our experience, the cockpit layout helps during busy moments: you can keep the helm area organized while the crew handles lines and sail changes. The presence of a GPS plotter and AIS is especially valuable for navigating coastal traffic and planning approaches to quieter anchorages. We also recommend relying on the VHF radio for routine communication, whether you’re coordinating with marinas or checking local conditions.

For steering, the autopilot and wind instruments reduce workload when you’re sailing long stretches. Safety and convenience are supported by an electric anchor windlass, while the bimini top and sprayhood help you stay comfortable when the sun or spray turns up—suddenly, you’ll feel it!

When you want a quick refresh after a swim, the cockpit shower is right there, and the ice box plus oven and galley equipment keep meals simple and warm. We state with certainty that the two toilets make life easier for a group of eight. From our knowledge, this is the kind of 2024 sailboat our guests tend to book again—calmly, confidently, and with a smile!
