Cruising on a boat with a crew that is at your service only for you is an unforgettable experience and a form of vacation that can only be desired. For such a form of cruising along the Croatian coast, you do not need any nautical skills because the ship's crew takes care of everything, and it is up to you to enjoy sailing on the Adriatic. Unlike bareboat charters, which require constant care of the ship, navigation, safe mooring, searching for a free berth and monitoring the weather forecast, renting a manned boat is the complete opposite as it offers complete relaxation, and all the care and responsibility is on the ship's crew. This option is most suitable for groups of guests from about 10 to 40, but also up to 50 people on larger vessels between 20 - 50m (60 - 150ft). Smaller crewed vessels can accommodate a married couple or a small family. In that case, such a group or family gets a private cruise with crew and excellent service, just like a small floating hotel, solely for them, which changes its location every day. Even in agreement with the captain, they can determine the route of movement as well as the places they would like to visit. Of course, the captain always has the last word because he knows the situation and weather conditions in Croatia.
For such private cruises of larger groups of guests, small cruisers that can accommodate up to 50 people are usually suitable. Smaller groups of up to 20-30 guests usually opt for traditional wooden sailing boats. Also popular are wooden sailing ships, the so-called gulets that can usually accommodate about 10 people. For even smaller groups, families or just couples, sailboats and motor yachts with fewer crew members (skipper and possibly a hostess and/or chef), are suitable.
On manned vessels, guests are accommodated in their comfortable cabins and have a bathroom with toilet and shower. The crew is housed in separate cabins with separate toilets so as not to disturb the privacy of guests. On most cruise ships, each cabin has its own bathroom (en-suite) , but there are also some traditional wooden boats on which guests share several shared bathrooms. On smaller vessels, the intimacy of guests is less, and on larger vessels higher due to the larger dimensions and spaciousness of the vessels that allow it. Of course, the price of accommodation on a boat corresponds to the service and comfort that a particular vessel provides.
Half-board or full-board as well as an all-inclusive service can be arranged on board, and everything depends on the guests' wishes. On smaller vessels, guests can, if they wish, take full care of the food, while on larger vessels, half-board service is somehow common, partly because they also have a larger number of crew members who have to take care of the kitchen anyway.
